Jambo Kids Foundation, an initiative of Ahmed M. Obo and a dedicated group of partners. An idea born of need, generosity, and honoring our roots, the Foundation “opened its doors” officially on October 1st, 2013 with an inaugural dinner held at Jambo Cafe to kick-off the Jambo Kids Clinic initiative.
The Jambo Kids Clinic is now in its fourth year of operation. We’re serving new and returning patients and planning an expansion to provide women’s health and wellness services to provide pregnant women with pre- and post-natal care, a birthing center, overnight stay rooms, newborn and well-baby check-ups, and more. We’re excited about this project and the future of Jambo Kids serving a healthy reality for the families of Lamu.
Jambo Kids Foundation’s initiatives and fundraising efforts are led by a small Board of Directors dedicated to providing quality medical care to an under-served community.
